On Thursday, the Easter bunny made a trip to Miss Joycie's. Eli wasn't scared a bit. On Friday, mommy and Eli played all day together. We even met daddy, Great-Garmie and Aunt Mary for lunch. On Saturday, mommy and Eli went shopping a bit and then hung out during the day and had fun with daddy at night.
Today, we got up early and went to church. We made it to the 8:30 service - and were there on time for a change. Eli, of course, had a visit from the Easter bunny. (Pretty strong bunny to hop with all those goodies all the way to our house, huh?!)
After spending the morning with mom and dad, Eli was ready to celebrate Easter with more family. We went to Grandpa Miller's for lunch. Eli had fun hanging out with Grandpa, Marciann, Lindsay, Tim, Dylan, Todd and Kelsey. (And, Boo the dog, of course.) And, it seems that the Easter bunny hopped all the way to Grandpa's too.
After a brief nap, Eli, dad and mom went to Grandpa & Grandma Manship's for dinner. We got to see Grandma, Grandpa, Anita, Bryan, Amy, Heather, Megan, Dave, Great-Grandma Fisher and Great Aunt Pat. Eli also got to see his cousin Haley. We capped off the day with a trip to the barn to meet Grandpa's new baby calf, Oscar. Eli and Oscar ate dinner at the same time - Oscar's bottle was just a little bigger than Eli's.
After all the excitement of the weekend and much spoiling by "bunnies" all over in Hancock County, you nearly fell asleep eating your cereal. As we put you to bed, mommy and daddy each kissed you and reflected together about how much our lives have changed in the last few months. We continue to give praise for you, little Eli, and relish every smile, cry, new accomplishment, finger squeeze (and yes, even every diaper change) ... and we can't wait to see what plans God has in store for you!
