Many "firsts" already ...

In looking back over the last three months, Eli has had many noteworthy "firsts" we want to be sure we record. Some of these have included:

First doctor appointment (November 2nd)

First Halloween (you wore a pumpkin hat and trick or treat socks - we had more trick-or- treaters than ever because everyone wanted to meet you!)First bath (and you loved it!)

First babysitter (Aunt Lindsay watched you while mom and dad ran to Wal-Mart)

First BIG smile (and, it was the night you met your Uncle Todd - and caught on camera)

First trip to Indianapolis (you had lunch w/ mom, her friends and went to the office - you were tuckered out!)

First Thanksgiving (over the weekend we went to Aunt Anita's, Aunt Mary's and Grandpa Miller's - you might have set a world record for the amount of time a baby can be held - you just cuddled right up with everyone!)

First "party night" with Grandpa Miller (mom and dad went to dinner and you got to hang out w/ Grandpa Miller all by yourselves - you wore a shirt saying, "I'm in charge" and it was right! You have all of your Grandparents wrapped around your fingers!)

First Christmas (hearing the Christmas story, visiting Santa, hanging stockings, eating candy -- oops that was daddy!)

First trip to daddy's work (needless to say, he was very proud to show you off!)

First all-night New Year's Eve party (you , mom and dad went to our Bible study group's party at the Jack's house - it was fun!)

First "ride" in your swing (a hand-me-down from Dylan, you love the swing - so much that mommy cried the first time you used it b/c you loved it so much!)

First visit to church (and our friends said mommy and daddy were hilarious as one of us was watching you the whole time)

First basketball game (you went to Abby's and Dylan's games)

First election night and presidential primaries

First Colts game (on TV, not live - and you sat with daddy during it)

First trip to Miss Joycie's (your wonderful day care provider - she loves you so much, Eli!)

First trips to your grandparents (Manship's, Miller and Great-Garmie)

First night in your crib (which was so hard - mommy watched you all night long on the video monitor. Until then, you'd slept right beside us in your cradle.)

First night to sleep all night (it was January 7th - who's counting?)

First trip to a state park (you and mommy met Uncle Dan, Aunt Kelly and Haley at Spring Mill on Feb 2nd - our friends Anne, Andrew, Claire, Jack, Dave and Susie were there too. Daddy had to work, but he called lots.)

First Superbowl (and, of course, we were rooting for Eli Manning and NOT the Pats)
