Now that Mike's done studying so much, we've been able to enjoy the last few nights as a fam just hanging out. Last night, we did a "movie night" and all huddled up w/ our "cuppies" and popcorn and watched Kung Fu Panda. It was funny - even Lukey was enjoying the funny antics! Tonight, we played outside for a bit. We "helped" dad water the garden, we caught a toad and passed him around the crew, we picked apples off the tree in our backyard, we played on the backporch and we all played a board game. We also had Mr. Kitty come back to us - Eli was so excited that he immediately took to re-introducing the kitty to everything and everyone. Some things I overheard Eli saying:
- Do you know Ukey, Kitty? He is my brother.
- Be careful walking on the rocks, Kitty.
- Dad, this sure is a beautiful apple, isn't it?
- Why is this kitty following me?
- I'll just touch the kitty - Ukey can touch the toad.
And, I overheard Luke saying MA MA MA and DA DA DA! It was wonderful, too!
Ahhhhh ... these times really are the BEST!
