Eli's 1st trip to King's Island and The Beach!

What is an Indiana summer without an impromptu trip to King's Island and The Beach? It has kind of become a tradition - and something mommy and daddy alway enjoy. Eli certainly had fun!

On Monday, June 30th, mommy and Eli loaded up the car and headed to Cincinnati with the Balbach's, Dylan and Uncle Todd. (Daddy had to work so he couldn't go this year - he is definitely planning to go next year.) Of course, we all met at our house since we are on the way. It sure was a good thing that Abby's boyfriend Brad joined us ... he was the only one who remembered to call Uncle Todd to ensure he was awake early enough to come!

We had fun riding all kinds of rides and playing games. Eli got to ride the carousel, The Blue Adventure (a train ride), and the Scooby Doo Haunted House. Uncle Todd and Cousin Jake even won prizes for you. And, while mommy rode a few roller coasters, you got to hang out with Jake, Brad and Barb. We were there from when the park opened until they closed - and then stayed up a while after we got to the hotel. (Mommy wasn't really keen on staying up, but Eli sure was!

The next morning, we went to The Beach Waterpark. It was definitely your favorite part of the trip. You played in the baby pool for a while and really liked watching the bigger kids splash around. The water was a little cold so Eli, Mommy and Ellie went to the Lazy River - and we caught up with Brad and Abby there, too. You fell sound asleep in the mommy's arms in the Lazy River tube. It was pretty cute! After your nap, you had some lunch which included your typical jar of baby food, but also your first pickle (which you LOVED - there were little seeds stuck all in your neck) and Dippin Dots. We then went to the bigger heated pool where you had a great time splashing and playing with mom and Aunt Barb.

It was definitely a good time - can't wait until next year as you will have even more fun and daddy can come, too!
